Dr. Bellman obtained his dental degree at the Royal London Hospital and completed his Masters in Orthodontics at the Eastman Institute of dental surgery in London. Thereafter he opened and successfully operated two private practices in London. Dr. Bellman is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the British Orthodontic Society, the European Orthodontic Society and a founding member of the South West London Orthodontic Study Club. Since 2004 he has been an international speaker and author of several articles on Invisalign, a member of the Invisalign Clinical Council of Europe and was among the original evaluation sites when Invisalign was first introduced in the UK. Dr. Bellman specializes in adult treatment utilizing the Damon and Invisalign orthodontic appliances.
S. Jay Bowman, D.M.D., M.S.D.
Dr. Jay Bowman received his D.M.D from Southern Illinois University - School of Dental Medicine and a M.S.D from Saint Louis University Department of Orthodontics. In addition to maintaining private practices in Portage, Kalamazoo and Paw Paw, Michigan Dr. Bowman is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Saint Louis University. He developed and teaches the Straightwire course at The University of Michigan and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Bowman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, a member of the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, a Fellow of the American and the International College of Dentists, a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a Regent of the American Association of Orthodontists Foun¬dation. He received the Angle Research Award in 2000 and the Alumni Merit Award from Saint Louis University in 2005. He has been invited to lecture around the world and is the author of many peer review publications and books in the orthodontic field. Asif Chatoo, BSc., BDS, FDS RCS (Eng), MSc., MOrth RCS (Eng)Specialist in Orthodontics (GDC No. 69682).
Asif Chatoo qualified as a dentist from King's College, London. He then gained his Masters Degree in Orthodontics from GKT Dental Institute, London. Asif's practice of dentistry is dedicated to Orthodontics. He has received specialist training in Lingual Orthodontics and has a keen interest in the multidisciplinary treatment of adult patients. Among UK-trained orthodontists, Asif is the only one to be accredited by both the European Society of Lingual Orthodontics and the World Society of Lingual Orthodontics. Asif is a Lecturer in Lingual Orthodontics and a Course Administrator at Warwick University. Jeryl D. English, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. English earned both his dental degree and orthodontic specialty degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Prior to his current work at UT, Dr. English was a professor and the former program director of the Orthodontic Department at Baylor College of Dentistry. Dr. English served in the United States Army Dental Corps from 1971 until his retirement in 1995. His numerous assignments included Commander, Dental Units in Operation Desert Storm; Commander of the Pacific Dental Service Support Area and US Army DENTAC-Hawaii; Commander and Chief of Orthodontic, US Army DENTAC-Berlin and Orthodontic consultant to the Chief of the US Army Dental Corps. Currently, Dr. English serves on the American Board of Orthodontics as Director from the Southwestern Society of Orthodontics. He is chair of the ABO Written Examination Committee and is a consultant for the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation and serves as an Orthodontic Specialty Site Visitor. Dr. English has served as reviewing section editor for the Quintessence International Journal of Orthodontics; and as ad hoc reviewer for The Angle Orthodontist and the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. English has been a recipient of numerous, teaching, mentoring and research awards, from various institutions and professional organizations and has also written numerous orthodontic abstracts, articles and book chapters. He is widely recognized as a speaker in orthodontics on the national and international level. Sharon Orton-Gibbs, BDS, FDS, D.Orth, M.Orth, MSc

Sharon Orton-Gibbs qualified in dentistry from Bristol University, with Honors. She then studied orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital in London. The practice was established in 1968, by her father Harry Orton, who was awarded the Order of the British Empire for services to orthodontics.
Sharon joined this first class practice in 1987 and took over as principal in 1995. She has continued to be first – or amongst the first – in the UK, in introducing several technologies to the practice and has a focus for providing top quality care. She has presented original research at the British, European and American Orthodontic Conferences, as well as authored several publications in the British, European and American Journals. Until June 2007, Sharon was a part-time Consultant at St Helier Hospital, Carshalton where she was lead clinician for 6 years and was responsible for training post-graduates. Dr. Larry Levens has maintained a private practice at his current location specializing in Orthodontics since 1988. He is a firm believer in precision orthodontic care. He completed his Graduate Studies with honors at St. Louis University’s Orthodontic Department and received his Master’s Degree in Orthodontics in 1988. He has his specialty board license in orthodontics through the Missouri State Dental Board. He feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to practice orthodontics with his father, Dr. Philip Levens, prior to his retirement in 1991. Ray McLendon, DDS
Dr. McLendon founded his orthodontic specialty practice in Houston Texas in 1983. Dr. McLendon has enjoyed a good relationship with his fellow orthodontists and has served as President of the Texas Association of Orthodontists as well as the Houston Regional Society of Orthodontists, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists.
He was recognized as one of the country’s top 10 Invisalign providers at the annual AAO meeting in summer of 2002, and became the country’s leading submitter of Invisalign cases by the end of 2002. The majority of his practice is traditional orthodontics, however, he remains among the world’s leading submitters of Invisalign.
Due to his vast Invisalign experience and his unique skills as a speaker, Dr. McLendon became Align Techonologies Vice President of Clinical programs in 2005 were he was responsible for training and certifying new doctors. He also published articles and developed content for advanced certifications and workshops for Orthodontic specialists. Although now pursuing other interests, he continues to lecture by invitation in various countries around the world. Dr. McLendon has become one of the most sought after speakers in the dental industry.

Dr. Pavlin received his M.S.D from the University of Zagreb, Croatia and his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Pavlin's academic activities include the functions of Program Director for Predoctoral Orthodontics and the Advanced Education Program for Orthodontists, a course director of three undergraduate and three graduate courses at the UTHSCSA and a lecturer in other didactic and clinical courses in predoctoral and graduate programs. He is also directing a laboratory involved in research projects in the area of bone biology and serves as a reviewer for several basic science and clinical journals. The primary research interest in Dr. Pavlin’s laboratory is in regulation of genes for bone cell (osteoblast) markers.
